Amanda J. Weinberg M.Ed, LMHC

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and over 15 years of comprehensive clinical experience. I see young children, teens, tweens and families. I also counsel couples in all stages of relationships. I work with divorced and single parents, blended families and see people of every race, ethnicity, and sexual orientation.

I have a particular passion and expertise for working with young children and teenagers as they struggle to cope with emotional and psychological changes, define their identities, cognitive struggles that take place within themselves and adjust to the demands of peers, schools, families and society. I tend to work collaboratively with parents, the family, school counselors, pediatricians and others to provide a balanced level of care.

I provide a non-judgmental and compassionate atmosphere in which you can safely explore and work through feelings, thoughts, images and beliefs, conscious or unconscious. I offer a person to person, integrative approach to client-centered therapy, play therapy, using traditional forms of therapy and cognitive behavioral techniques. I use creativity, imagination and humor, along with practical solutions and concrete goals.
