Dr. Becker’s 20 year career has spanned a number of positions in both educational and clinical settings. He has been a school counselor, a special education coordinator, and a therapeutic school administrator. He has been a crisis clinician and a crisis clinical team supervisor. In addition to his work providing intervention and assessment services, he has held a number of teaching positions. Dr. Becker is on the full-time psychology faculty at Greenfield Community College and and teaches psychology courses at several local colleges and universities; he is very excited to be working with children, families, and schools as a post doctoral associate through James Levine & Associates.
Dr. Becker completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Hamburg, Germany. He holds a Master of Education degree and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study from UMASS Amherst in school counseling and child development. He completed his Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology degree through Union Institute & University. His current clinical work centers around psychological assessment. His approach to testing is to help clients understand how individual pieces demonstrated through testing help us understand the person as a whole.
